5 AHS SENIORS NAMED NATIONAL MERIT SEMI-FINALISTS
Five Albuquerque High School high school seniors (Lucas Kunsman, Erin Mauldin, Evan Moulson, Claire Skelton, Dylan Wambold) have been named semi-finalists in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program.
These students join some 16,000 semi-finalists from around the nation who will compete for $36 million in scholarships offered in the 55th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
“We are very proud of these students and their accomplishments thus far. We wish them luck as they compete for scholarships,” said APS Superintendent Winston Brooks.
These students qualified as semi-finalists based on their performance on the 2008 pre-SAT. Students also must submit an application with an essay and information about their participation in school and community activities.
